4 :: record  / your video

Ready to add your voice to the choir? Start by selecting a conductor video to record to: specify your choice of score, accompaniment, and optional part emphasis (only available with choral accompaniment) below. Click “submit” and the video will be generated in a new window.

You can repeat this process as many times as you like to try out different combinations—we recommend you practice along with a few different options until you find the one you’re most comfortable with. Make sure your recording space is properly set up, take a look at the reminders to your right, and get ready to sing!

MULTIPLE PARTS: We encourage those who can sing more than one part to submit multiple videos, particularly tenors and basses.

Please save your recording in one of the following file formats: .mov, .wmv, .avi, .mp4, .m4v, .divx, .mpg, or .mpeg.

The maximum file size for upload is 400 MB; if uploading multiple videos in one submission, each separate file has a 400 MB maximum.

Please title your file with your last and first name, e.g., Filandrinos,Panos.mp4 or Boesel,Greta.avi.

SMARTPHONE, IPAD AND OTHER MOBILE USERS: Most iOS devices will not enable you to upload files directly from your device. If possible, transfer the file to your laptop or home computer first and upload it from there. If you do not have a laptop or home computer, please email us at panos@axios-music.com for assistance.

Which part of the score would you like to see at the bottom of the conductor video?

Soprano    Alto    Tenor    Bass

Would you like to sing along with an SATB piano accompaniment or an SATB choral accompaniment?

Piano accompaniment    Choral accompaniment

WAIT FOR THE BEEP: Wait until after the “beep” to put your headphones on.

SHHH: Keep any external noises to a minimum. Use the music appearing at the bottom of the conductor video (if you must use a printed copy, no page shuffling!).

TURN IT DOWN: Keep the volume on the video LOW so that it can’t be heard in your recording (and so that you can hear yourself sing!). Remember that the accompaniment will play in only one channel (ear) of your headphones.

PLAY IT STRAIGHT: Minimize vibrato if possible.
